* - siah’s not exactly the most sociable person in the world –– with a scowl permanently embedded on his features, he’s less than approachable and quite honestly, he’s glad for that. socializing isn’t one of his favourite things, but when it comes to certain people, he could make exceptions. with his newfound apathy for anyone besides himself, he never thought he’d be calling out someone’s name, chasing them down the street, but then again, he never thought that he’d see elwood again, either. when elwood turns, siah feels regret creeping through him. perhaps he couldn’t have chased him down the side of the road … he wasn’t even sure if elwood remembered him. but when he hears the familiar voice and sees the ghost of a smile, reassurances pools through him and he offers his own smile in return.
‘ i’m fluent in elwood, i know that’s probably the closest thing i’m ever gonna get to an admittance of the fact that you missed me….so… you missed me, huh ? ‘
siah’s words are playful. ‘ …. if you didn’t miss me, though… just pretend you did. my ego needs it. ‘
there might have been a time when the boy in front of him intimidated elwood, but in the time since he’s last seen him, there’s no doubt he’s grown up a little. truth be told, he hadn’t often thought of siah this past year - his life has been so busy, and he wouldn’t even be able to tell you why they stopped speaking in the first place, but looking at him now he really doesn’t care. all that matters is that he’s here. for a moment, guilt washes over him as he thinks of what happened with mason, but he figures that’s both in the past and not his story to tell, so he doesn’t dwell for too long. shrugging his shoulders, elwood offers a smirk, cocky as ever.
❛ … if you’re lookin’ for a confession, you won’t find it here, sunshine. if you’re so fluent in elwood, you would have known that already. ❜
again, his smile brightens, shaking his head with a laugh. ❛ … —- i pretend for no-one. ❜
